Flight Attendant: Tourism Flight Attendant

Overview

The Certificate III Tourism program is delivered at Chisholm Institute of TAFE  in Frankston. The course is run on Wednesdays and students will need to make their own arrangements to travel to and from the campus.  The course provides participants with the foundation and employability skills to enable students to apply for jobs as a Flight Attendant. The course covers how to deal with conflict situation, how to prepare and serve food and beverages, how to provide a briefing or scripted commentary and how to use personal grooming to best present yourself within this industry. It enables participants to gain a recognised credential and to make informed choices in relation to vocation and career paths.

Contribution to the VCE and VCAL

On completion of the program students are eligible for four credits towards their VCE or VCAL certificate, two at units 1 and 2 level. and a 3 and 4 sequence. Students who successfully complete the year 12 Unit 3-4 sequence will be eligible for a 10% increment towards their ATAR as a fifth or sixth subject.

This program will also satisfy the learning outcomes for the VCAL Industry Specific and the Work Related Skills strand.
