Get started in the multimedia and design industry
The Certificate III in Screen and Media (CUA31015) course equips students to work as an assistant in the multimedia and design industries. The course delivery uses industry relevant computer equipment and is also delivered by current industry practitioners. An important focus of the course is to develop employability skills in the areas of communication, problem solving, initiative and enterprise, self-management, working in teams and planning and organisation. Study in this area can lead to higher qualifications in either an Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Certificate IV in Screen and Media or Graphic Design or the Bachelor of Interactive Media Design.

Time: 1st Year Tuesday 4.00pm – 9.00pm, 2nd Year Wednesday 4.00pm – 9.00pm
Structured Workplace Learning
SWL is not mandated in this program, however the VCAA strongly recommend all VET students undertake some work placement. The VCAA strongly recommend a minimum of 10 days.
Contribution to the VCE and VCAL
On completion of the program students are eligible for four credits towards their VCE or VCAL certificate, two at units 1 and 2 level and a 3 and 4 sequence.
Students who successfully complete the year 12 Unit 3-4 sequence will be eligible for a study score which contributes directly towards their ATAR.
This program will also satisfy the learning outcomes for the VCAL Industry Specific and the Work Related Skills strand.
