High Performance Sport
Students will develop knowledge and understanding of strength, conditioning and nutrition. This subject will cover all aspects of the athlete development and a considerable part of the program will be delivered within a gym training setting. Within this elective, students will experience weekly strength and conditioning training as well as nutrition seminars to support their developing knowledge of fitness training. Topics that will be covered include but are not limited to different types of fitness training, principles of training, nutrition, recovery and injury prevention.
