The coastal science elective takes a holistic approach to exploring the coastal environment. Students will learn about the biology of aquatic plants and animals and understand physical processes that shape the coastal environment. They will then learn about historical, indigenous, local and global risks to coastal ecosystems before analysing human resource use and management systems. This subject will include up to four excursions with the possibility of an overnight camp.
