As we wrap up another school year, we’d like to wish everyone in the EMC community a very Merry Christmas, a happy and safe New Year, and a fun, relaxing holiday break. 2025 has been a fantastic year for our College, with so many wonderful achievements and successes from our students. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and the way they continue to represent EMC. We are looking forward to welcoming our incoming Year 7 students in 2026 as they begin their EMC journey. What incredible results for our graduating students and for contributing to a fantastic College Median ATAR of 70.1.  A special congratulations to our Dux, Autumn Stubbins, achieving an outstanding ATAR of 96.0, and our Dux Proximus, Jake Raimondi, with an impressive ATAR of 95.0.  Both have excelled and set a remarkable example for their peers.  To the entire Class of 2025, whether your results exceeded your hopes or presented new pathways to consider you have shown grit, heart and determination throughout your journey. You have lived our college values of Respect, Empowerment, Aspiration, Courage and Honesty, and these qualities will carry you confidently into the future.

On Friday April 1, students from 4 local Primary schools along with the students from EMC walked up to 50kms in a day to raise much needed funds for the RCH Good Friday Appeal. The event was bigger and better than anyone expected, and the final amount raised was just over $286.000! Congratulations to all involved from Elisabeth Murdoch College, Langwarrin Primary School, Langwarrin Park Primary School, Pearcedale Primary School and Woodlands Primary School. The 2025 event has set up the next event to be bigger than ever – and in 2027, should see us reach the milestone of $1 million raised through iCAN challenge events.

On August 12 the EMC Year 11 Music class competed in the Regional Battle of the Bands and won the Best Musicians award! Students involved were; Teira Smith, Anghus Kelly, Emma Morton, Erin Miles, Charli Prentice, Lily Buckley, Liam Martin, Murphy Schmidt, JJ Robinson and Cayden McClelland. Special congratulations go to Simon Chiodo for his coaching and mentoring of the students to get them to this point and to Dom Parsons for providing moral support. The award was presented to our students by EMC Alumni student Ben Dewhirst who was one of the adjudicators.

Championship A Team Their results: Our Year 8 “A” Netball team went undefeated on August 8  at the Southern Metro finals- Congratulations girls!! The girls were magnificent in demonstrating extraordinary skill and teamwork.  A special mention to Coach Cox- the “Coxy Netball Academy”!
