Overview

Start training for a legal career while completing your secondary school studies. This two year program would provide an entry level qualification for those wishing to work in both the private and public sectors of the legal system, while providing a pathway to Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications in legal and justice for those wishing to pursue further studies. This program will provide over 200 hours of accredited training per year at AQF Level 3 for block credit purposes.

Structured Workplace Learning (SWL)

SWL is not mandated in this program, though the VCAA strongly recommend all VET students undertake some work placement.

Contribution to the VCE/VCAL

Students who complete the program below may be eligible for two Unit 3 and 4 sequences. Year 1: 250 hours at AQF level III providing credit of one Units 3 and 4 sequence. Year 2: 285 hours at AQF level III, providing credit of one Units 3 and 4 sequence.

Students who successfully complete the year 12 Unit 3-4 sequence will be eligible for a 10% increment towards their ATAR calculated using 10% of the lowest study score of the primary four.

This program will also satisfy the learning outcomes for the VCAL Industry Specific and the Work Related Skills strand.
